यस्य सेनातुरङ्गाणां खुरैरुत्थापितं रजः।
अकाण्डे राहुसन्देहं मार्ताण्डस्योदपादयत्॥

• यस्य = whose
• सेना-तुरङ्गाणाम् = of the army-horses
• खुरैः = by the hoofs
• उत्थापितम् = raised
• रजः = dust (रजस्)
• अकाण्डे = unexpectedly (indeclinable)
• राहु-सन्देहम् = Rahu(eclipse)-doubt
• मार्ताण्डस्य = of the Sun
• राहु-सन्देहम् मार्ताण्डस्य = the sun becoming apprehensive of the approach of an eclipse
•  उदपादयत् = "was born"/arose (past third person singular of उत्-पादयति)
